Lee Stafford Coco Loco Blow & Go Genius Lotion

Lee Stafford Coco Loco Blow & Go Genius Lotion - £6.99

On the hunt for a new heat protector for my hair, I came across Lee Stafford's Coco Loco Blow & Go Genius Lotion. What instantly caught my attention was the key ingredient of coconut which, if you know me well enough - you'll know I absolutely love! This is a multipurpose product for the hair, not only does it protect your locks it conditions, strengthens and softens.

To apply I squeeze a small amount on to my palm then massage gently into my hair from the middle down to the ends. This product is to be used on towel dry hair before styling. I can't get enough of the scent of the lotion, it smells gorgeous and lingers through the day. My hair doesn't feel weighed down or sticky and instantly feels smoother. I will definitely be repurchasing this and would recommend it to anyone this summer.

Bourjois Rice Powder Java

Bourjois Rice Powder Java - £9.99

This is a rather overdue post - I had purchased this product quite a few months ago but have only recently been using it in my make up routine. This is the Bourjois Rice Powder Java, which had been released to celebrate the brand's 150th birthday. The powder itself is a cult product dating back to 1879 and is still popular amongst beauty junkies today!

I have been using this as a finish to my base to give a smooth, matte complexion. The powder is incredibly light on the skin and is pleasantly fragrant. It's transparent in colour and does not over power my skin tone. Although I have found this product doesn't dry out my skin, I can't guarantee it would set well on those with dry skin types. I also love the classic packaging, it would look so perfect on the vanity table of a french boudoir.

CB12 Mild Mint-Menthol Mouthwash

*PR sample

Over the past week I have been trailing something slightly different from what I usually do...mouthwash! Dental care is important to me and I thought it would be interesting to participate in testing out the CB12 Mild Mint Mouthwash. This mouthwash prevents and treats bad breath, with effective results that last for up to 12 hours. The formula has been developed to neutralise the substances in the mouth that lead to unpleasant breath. I have been using this after brushing each morning and before bed. My mouth feels instantly fresher, my gums and teeth feel so clean after each use. The consistency of the product is light and doesn't have that stinging after effect that most mouthwashes do.

I was also offered the CB12 Boost chewing gum for that extra freshness between meals. I wasn't so keen on these, I didn't like the texture but needless to say they were minty fresh!

HoloHolo Pop Up Shop Launch Party

On Monday evening I attended the HoloHolo Pop Up Shop Launch Party in east London. The founder of this start up swimwear brand Rosemary, kindly invited me along to view her collection up close. In association with Hawaiian Tropic, the event showcased Rosemary's vibrant and innovative bikinis and one pieces. She told me how her aim was to create swimwear that could be worn outside of the pool and as fashion statements. Her chic and colourful designs are versatile enough to style with everyday outfits. Swimsuits can double up as bodies and the bikinis look great worn beneath dungarees. Rosemary uses high quality fabrics and likes to use asymmetric detailing for that extra bit of glamour.

This was a really enjoyable evening with feel good tunes, delicious fruit punch and temporary tattoos thanks to Paperself!

Summer Hair Essentials

Organix Weightless Hydration Coconut Water Shampoo
Grounded Coconut & Lime Hydrating Natural Hair Mask
John Frieda Beach Blonde Sea Waves Sea Salt Spray
Batiste Tropical dry shampoo
Organix Nourishing Coconut Milk Conditioner

WASH
I adore Organix shampoos and conditioners, currently I use the Coconut Water shampoo along with the Coconut Milk conditioner. Together these are gorgeous to use on the hair, they leave the locks feeling super fresh and soft. These products don't weigh down the hair and have the most lovely fragrance.

TREATMENT
As my hair is bleached I have to give it a much deeper treatment which is why I use Grounded's Coconut & Lime mask to give my dry ends some much needed hydration. I choose to leave this in over night and then rinse in the morning.

STYLE
In between washes I reach for a dry shampoo to work through the roots when their looking a little greasy. At the moment I have been using Batiste's Tropical dry shampoo which has a pleasant fruity fragrance. To give my hair that beachy vibe I use John Frieda's Sea Salt spray to give texture and volume, it also smells of coconut which is ah-mazing!
