How I Clean My Skin

To start, I like to remove all my make up with the Clinique Take the Day off Cleansing Balm. This buttery tub of goodness melts away even the most stubborn of make up and feels soft on the skin. A little goes a long way and one tub can last me months!

To remove the product, along with excess make up and dirt, I use a face cloth or muslin soaked under hot water and gently rub my face in circular motions. Rinsing as I go the cloth literally takes the day off from my face - the proof is in how grubby it gets!

Although my cleansing balm works a dream at taking off make up I still like to take extra care by following up with a liquid cleanser or make up remover such as this one by REN. This picks up anything that has been left behind and gives that deeper clean feeling.

To finish I love to spray my entire face with the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic Spritzer. I swear by this product as it gives my skin a fresh burst of essential oils and overall helps to balance out my skin tone. I then follow up with a moisturiser before getting into bed for some beauty sleep.

New Garnier Ultimate Blends

Garnier Ultimate Blends Mythic Olive Shampoo - £2.79
Garnier Ultimate Blends Delicate Oat Conditioner - £2.79

My go to shampoo and conditioner is Garnier's Ultimate Blends, available in a selection of fragrances and specialised to suit all those common hair issues from split ends to dullness. New additions to the range have recently been introduced and of course I was thrilled to give them a try. I decided to pick up two of the three choices - the Mythic Olive shampoo and Delicate Oat conditioner. Unfortunately the Mother of Pearl & Cherry Blossom duo contains methylisothiazolinone which my skin is highly allergic to.

These have been a delight to use, they leave my hair looking lusciously soft and feeling silky smooth. They have a lovely scent which lingers in the hair throughout the day. I highly recommend Ultimate Blends hair care, it's extremely affordable and gives salon worthy results.

James Villas #SummerLove

Last Summer I went on a family break to the Greek island of Skiathos. For the past 15 years I have enjoyed a number of holidays in the beautiful islands of Greece, including Zante, Kefalonia, Crete and Rhodes. Greece is one of my most favourite places to be, with it's gorgeous scenery, delicious food and golden sunshine.

Skiathos is a stunning getaway for families looking for a cultured exploration in the Med or for couples seeking tranquil relaxation. There's so much to see and do throughout your visit, from boat excursions across the Aegean sea to discovering the wondrous cove of Larissa beach.

I can't speak enough about the amazing food Skiathos has to offer! There are so many wonderful restaurants and family run tavernas for you to get a true taste of Greece. I would recommend to try local cuisine such as Stifado, Kleftiko, Moussaka and freshly made Tzatziki.

It was so lovely to be in the crystal clear, blue sea by day and by night strolling in and out of the humble streets of Skiathos town. If you are currently looking for a Greek escape, this is definitely the place.

My Everyday Make Up

BASE
For my base I use my favourite foundation, Estee Lauder's Double Wear Stay-in-Place Makeup in shade 'Dawn' followed by my trusty Maybelline Eye Eraser concealer.

BROWS
I begin by brushing through my brow hairs and then fill with a brown shadow from my favourite brow kit by Sleek. I then finish taming my brows with Maybelline's Brow Drama mascara.

EYES
I like to give my lids warmth by using Benefit's Hoola bronzer all over and then across my lower lash line. Then I take shade 'Darkhorse' from my Urban Decay Naked palette and line my lower lash line and blend into my bronzed lid. With the Collection Fast Stroke liquid liner I create an even cat eye flick. To finish off the eyes I use my current favourite mascara, Maybelline's Lash Sensation mascara.

CHEEKS
I can't get enough of Vita Liberata's Trystal mineral bronzer, which also acts as a self tanner. I choose to apply this on my temples, nose and chin as well as defining my cheeks. To add some colour to the apples of me cheeks I like to use MAC's blush in 'Peaches'.

Barry M Matte Nail Paint in Vanilla

Barry M Matte Nail Paint - £3.99

It's been a while since I treated myself to a new nail polish and I was delighted to find this Barry M Matte Nail Paint in shade 'Vanilla'. This is a perfect transition shade to wear from Winter through to Spring and even better that it has a muted matte finish. I initially thought this was your average 'greige' shade but there is a subtle undertone of purple which really compliments my skin tone. The only thing I would criticise is how easy the nail paint chips and I often I needed to re-apply to maintain an even finish.

Overall this is a beautiful colour, wearable for any occasion and if you love your nudes this will be right up your street!
