Bell HYPOAllergenic CC Cream Make-Up

*PR sample

When I want to tone down my make up I like to use a CC Cream, however I have yet to find the perfect one for me. CC creams have been developed to balance your skin tone with a lighter consistency than foundation, a great alternative when you want a 'no make up' make up look. The Bell HYPOAlergenic CC cream has been approved by dermatologists and aims to improve the appearance of skin and disguise fatigue.

Unfortunately this shade (02 Nude) is slightly too light for my skin tone, it does however give a lovely natural finish. The consistency of the product is so lightweight it feels barely there and has a soft creamy texture. I am a little disappointed I couldn't use this to it's full potential so I will make sure to give it to someone who can.

You can purchase this CC Cream at Beauty Crowd for £6.95 and it is available in 4 shades.

Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask - £10.50
Australian Bodycare Skin Wash - *PR sample
REN Rosa Centifolia Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser - £15.00

Honestly I have a lot of skin care and I do try to make as much use of all of it as possible. I like to keep my cleansers, toners, creams and oils in my bedroom but these are the products that are found in my bathroom cabinet.

Everyday I like to use the Clinique Take the Day Off Cleansing Balm to melt down my make up before following up with a cleanser and toner. I apply this all over the face and using a hot muslin cloth I remove the product along with my make up. I find hot cloth cleansing is the most effective when trying to give my skin a deep clean. To give my face a bit of a scrub I choose to use the REN Rosa Centifolia Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser which contains microbeads of Jojoba to buff away dry skin and dirt from the pores. When my skin is misbehaving and acting more problematic than usual I use the Australian Bodycare Skin Wash, developed with Tea Tree oil which is great for spot prone skin like mine. Every fortnight or so I apply face masks to give my face a little extra TLC. I either choose to apply the Yves Rocher Extreme Comfort Mask when my skin is feeling sensitive or the Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask which is an absolutely amazing clay based mask.

What products do you keep in your bathroom cabinet?

How I Wash My Make Up Brushes

*PR sample

I try to clean my make up brushes at least once a month to rid any excess make up, dirt and oils that have built up over the weeks. Usually I'll use hand soap or shampoo but recently I have been introduced to the Barbara Hoffman Special Soap for cosmetic brushes. This is so easy easy to use and makes the task less of a chore!

First, I run each brush under hot water and then buff them into the soap until it creates a soft lather. Immediately I can see excess make up lifting from the bristles and the reality of how much of it has sat within the brush. The soap rinses out incredibly well without leaving residue which I often find happens with shampoos. In a matter of minutes they're thoroughly washed and feel good as new.

I set my squeaky clean brushes aside to air dry until they are ready for a fresh use. Is it time you cleaned your brushes?

This product is available to purchase for just £6.95 on Beauty Crowd.

Orofluido Asia Zen Control Elixir

*PR sample

I had never had an issue with frizz until I began colour treating and bleaching my hair. Most of the time my hair is manageable but I do have bad hair days when my locks can appear rather fluffy and unruly. My regular haircare routine consists of conditioning treatments and oils to tame my hair and keep it smooth however the ends still remain feeling rather dry.

The Orofluido Asia Zen Control Elixir has been created to control frizz-prone hair by creating a shield against humidity and contains a UV filter to protect the hair from harmful sun exposure. Blended with camellia oil, rice oil and bamboo, this product promotes smoothness and elasticity to create healthier looking hair.

I have been using this for a couple of weeks now and honestly this product is incredible! I notice such a difference in the texture of my hair when I have apply this and it feels so revived each time. I choose to apply this onto damp hair, focusing on the ends which are the most problematic and then I dry as normal. It has such a light weight consistency and doesn't feel sticky, it also has a sweet floral fragrance which lingers through the day. Instantly my hair is smoother and I literally feel as though I have just stepped out the salon. My hair is transformed and I find I can't stop running my fingers through it! A little goes a long way with this oil so I am hopeful it will last. I definitely haven't come across anything that works as well as this in the drugstore.

Desigual FUN Eau de Toilette

*PR sample

Desigual is a unique fashion brand based in Barcelona, Spain. It is well know for it's flamboyant prints and designs which are popular across the world but the attention is now on it's long awaited fragrance collection. Three new scents have been introduced, bringing fashion and perfume together. 'SEX', 'FUN' and 'LOVE' each have their own character and the bottles have been designed to represent the brands statement colours and iconic symbol of a Desigual galactic circle.

'FUN' is a playful fragrance of fruit and flowers. With top notes of blueberry, pear and peach this has an uplifting sweetness. Violet and peony give the scent of Summer with cheerful freshness. Although this isn't my usual scent of choice it is the ideal perfume to wear this season!

This product retails at £24.00 for 30ml and £29.00 for 50ml.

Phytomer Seaweed Soap

*PR sample

As much as I love my cleansers, toners, scrubs and masks, I do still appreciate a good old bar of soap! Currently I am using the Phytomer Seaweed Soap in my daily skincare routine, a 100% natural multi-action soap with exfoliating cleansing particles. It can be used for both face and body to refine the skin to leave it soft and supple. It also claims to encourage blood circulation and can deliver unique results when used alongside an anti-cellulite treatment.

I like to use this in the mornings to refresh the face and rid excess oils built up over night. My skin feels pleasantly smooth and matte without feeling dried out. I would definitely recommend this soap to those with oily skin or those who prefer a natural approach to skin care.
