2015 Health and Beauty Resolutions - Update

1. Let those brows grow!
At the start of the year I was determined to sort my brows out as they didn't have much shape to them and were far too over plucked. I now have brows to be proud of, they're much fuller and have a stronger arch to them.

2. Drink more water and stick to it
I've never struggled too much with drinking water but throughout the year I have tried to keep it more consistent, even if that means bringing a small bottle with me out and about shopping. I get dehydrated rather quickly so I often need to quench my thirst throughout the day and so I do make an effort to drink at least 6-8 glasses a day.

3. Give my hair more TLC
I'm still getting balayage so unfortunately my hair continues to be rather dry at times but I have found that I am heat styling it less often. I do however, need to make more effort with deep conditioning and using treatment masks to revive my locks.

4. Stay on top of my dental health
I have reduced my sugar intake this year and I'd like to think it's doing my teeth some good. I'm overdue a dental check up and admittedly I haven't thought to sort that out - not good.

5. Keep on dancing
After over a year of classes I'm still dancing away! It's my favourite night of the week and it's been keeping me super fit all 2015. I started warming up to the advanced class although I'm not quite 100% there yet. My teacher has said she really wants me to perform but it takes a lot of commitment and spare time..

6. Moisturise head to toe
I must be honest, this has been the resolution I have paid least attention to especially this Winter. I found it was so much easier to do in the Summer compared to the colder months when it's far too chilly to take time out to moisturise. I have suffered the consequence of dry legs and my skin doesn't feel as soft as it could be so in the New Year I do really need to stick to it.

7. Watch those eating habits
My diet has been balanced all year round and even though I eat out quite often, I don't find that I overindulge. I'm only human so I will treat myself now and then. This year I have taken a strong liking to authentic Asian cuisines such as Thai, Vietnamese and Japanese which consists of a lot of vegetables and spices. I also love to make green juices and drink mint tea to help keep my digestion in check.

Have you kept to your 2015 resolutions?

What I Got for Christmas

As I'm getting older, making a Christmas list gets harder so this year I asked for more of what I need rather than impulsive indulgent gifts. Come Winter time it seems all my favourite skincare products run out at once and with the cold weather I just want things to keep me comforted.

I was a very lucky girl to receive these gifts and I'm grateful for every single one :)

BLOGMAS: Getting Ready for NYE with #WeAreFamily

New Years Eve is the perfect time to make a fashion statement this season and online fashion retailer has got everything you'll need to get glammed up and ready for 2016. From bodycon beauties to pretty peplums, boohoo has a gorgeous selection of dresses to choose from so you can create your dream party outfit.

I've put together my perfect NYE outfit complete with sequins, sparkle and sass!

The festive season always gets me in the mood for glitz and sequins. This Boutique Ava metallic dress is just stunning, I adore the colour and how it glistens effortlessly.

Time to get my make up on! I need a foundation that will last right through the night, lashes and an irresistible lip colour to guarantee a midnight kiss.

I love how this dress compliments my shape and gives a subtle show of skin. The tones of blue and green are beautiful and I feel like a sexy glitter ball!

Of course a good dress needs a good pair of heels and these Sofia V front shoe boots are the perfect match. They elongate my legs and look super chic.

Finally I am ready to celebrate NYE but first..let me take a selfie!

BLOGMAS: LUSH The Magic of Christmas

Lush The Magic of Christmas - £5.95

Lush at Christmas is the best time of year! Amongst classic favourites, year on year there are always new and exciting bath time products in store. I thought I'd treat myself to something special to get me in the festive spirit before the big day, so I picked up this little starlet. This is 'The Magic of Christmas' bubble bar which is actually reusable and will last you through to the New Year. Simply swirl it in the bath to add a touch of sparkle and a warming fragrance of cinnamon, sweet orange oil, Star Anise and cloves will fill the room. Bath water becomes a shimmery glow of delight and you're instantly comforted by wonderful soothing bubbles.

BLOGMAS: #BloggersXmas

On the weekend I was fortunate to attend the #BloggersXmas event, held by blogging sisters Soeurs de Luxe. Held in central London, this festive meet up was a chance to mingle with other bloggers, network with PR contacts and discover some amazing brands. There were also plenty of opportunities to get into the spirit of Christmas with mulled cider, candy canes and silly selfies.

Katherine Elizabeth Millinery creates unique, handmade head pieces with extravagant designs to wear for special occasions whether it be a wedding or formal party. Each piece has been made with French lace and Italian silk with intricate beading.

Founded by Matt and Martin, Sweet Cheesus! is an independent cheesecake business based in London. These wonderful, little cups of joy come in a selection of scrumptious flavours including apple crumble, cookies & cream and vanilla. Available for catering and stocked in Selfridges.

Starting as a small business, Miglio has grown into a global jewellery brand. Jenny Miller and her team put a lot of thought into each piece they create to reflect her individual style. From earrings to pendants, the collection uses semi precious stones, pearls and  Swarovski crystals for that extra special touch.

London based but with Mexican roots, Chilpa creates Fair Trade, hand woven scarves, pashminas and home ware textiles. The brand stays true to it's Mexican heritage not only with it's vibrant colours and designs but by supporting artisan communities back in Central America with a donation of 50% of all profits made.

Inspired by the  traditional tastes of India and the Middle East, Aroma creates beautifully home baked treats, cupcakes and tarts. Using delicate spices such as cardamom and floral essences like rose, this little bakery produces quality goods with big flavour. Gluten-free options are also available.

Lash Perfect is the leading semi-permanent individual eyelash extensions supplier in the UK. They also sell a range of stylish and sexy synthetic false lashes to choose from for any occasion.
