A/W TK Maxx Beauty Finds

Burberry Iconic Nail Colour - £15 £7.99
Rituals Duo Eye Shadow - £17.50 £4.99

TK Maxx has always been my go to for discounted beauty. Recently I have noticed more and more high end brands making an appearance on the shelf including MAC and Laura Mercier. On my last visit I picked up these two products that I think are absolutely perfect for this season. First I found this gorgeous nail polish from Burberry in shade 'Metallic Khaki' which is self explanatory but like nothing I've ever seen before. It appears like liquid metal on the nails and glistens beautifully, however the formula of the polish is quite thin and requires 3 coats.

I then came across this stunning eye shadow duo from Rituals. I love Rituals bath and body products so I was intrigued to see how their make up would perform. This is the 'Amber Passion' duo, two warm, neutral shades that compliment each other wonderfully. Enriched with natural Sapphire, both shadows have excellent pigmentation and blend well to enable you to create different looks.

Rimmel Salon Pro by Kate Nail Polish in Soul Session

Rimmel Salon Pro by Kate Nail Polish in Soul Session - £4.49

Now that Summer is officially over I've been on the search for the perfect nail colour to suit the transition of the season. I'm not quite ready to bring out the greys and taupes so for now I've settled on this little lovely. I had seen this featured in Barbara's (ThePersianbabe) monthly favourites and instantly fell for it. It was rather tedious to find but at last I got my hands on one and I must admit it is on the pricier side for your average nail polish. Needless to say I've been wearing it daily, it's definitely a 'less is more' shade as it is a very subtle pinky nude but still gives the nails a tint of colour. I agree that it doesn't chip however I would recommend to apply the product right around the edges to avoid the tips showing through as they grow.

Topshop Lip Cream in Pout

Topshop Lip Cream - £7

I love lipstick, hate lip gloss but have not given much appreciation to lip cream..that is until now. Strangely enough I don't usually browse the make up range on my visits to Topshop but on this occasion I decided to have a quick glance over and this product was calling my name. This is a lip cream in the shade 'Pout' - a bright red with an orange undertone. It is extremely pigmented so I make sure to apply a little at a time to avoid over doing it. The consistency is slightly thick so I would recommend to dab the lips with a tissue to remove an excess product and to avoid smudging. This particular colour is a very close, if not exact, dupe of Illamsqua's Matte Lip Liquid in shade 'Exotic' which I have been lusting over for months but I simply can't justify spending £18. This lip cream however, is a fabulous alternative that won't damage the bank account. In my opinion this is more of a Summer colour, so not good timing on my part, although I am off on holiday next week and I will definitely be taking this with me!
