GlossyBox: Be Mine

NOUGAT LONDON Sparkling Body Shimmer
There's only one product I have used to give shimmer to my skin and that is the Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse OR, which I absolutely adore, this product is slightly similar but doesn't have the same oily consistency and doesn't enhance tanned skin. It is simply a light body lotion infused with sparkle to give the skin a touch of radiance and an added glow. It is recommended to use upon the legs and d├ęcolletage, I think I will personally use this upon my arms and legs in the Summer once I have caught some sun, to use as a highlight.

Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder

Rimmel Clear Complexion Clarifying Powder - £3.99

I have been in desperate need for a compact face powder but have been totally clueless on which one to go for. I wanted something that wouldn't cake my face but would have enough impact to give my skin a flawless, shine free finish. I'd always heard that Rimmel's Stay Matte powder was a 'must have' but this Clear Complexion powder appealed to me so much more. This is a natural mineral powder that aims to mattify the skin and reduce the appearance of shine whilst generally improving blemishes.

As you may know already I have terribly oily skin so this product was calling my name from the shelf. Although this powder is available in a variety of shades I opted for 'Transparent' as I didn't want to use it to build colour upon my face but to instead simply buff it in to rid any shine and to even out my make up. After applying my foundation, I dust this lightly over my face and it instantly gives a smooth, almost airbrushed appearance to the skin. Pores appear reduced but not at all clogged and my make up looks noticeably even. I absolutely love this product and it has definitely found a rightful home in my make up bag. I'd recommend this product to anyone with oily skin, it's ridiculously affordable and performs brilliantly!

Topshop Beauty Sale

The recent Topshop sale hasn't impressed me all that much and just as I was beginning to give up trailing through the racks and shelves, I noticed a small selection of marked down beauty items and here is what I managed to get my hands on...

Topshop Lipstick - £8.00 £4.00

This was the only lipstick that had been marked down in the particular Topshop branch I visited and lucky for me it was a shade I liked..although I must admit it looked a little different under indoor lighting. Needless to say I still quite like the colour and at half the price I can't  really complain. 'Sartorial' is a vibrant red with a pinkish under tone. The product applies well onto the lips but as with any lipstick I do make sure to moisturise with a balm or vaseline first. This colour is wearable for both day and night, adding a pop of colour to the lips no matter what the occasion.

Topshop Nail Polish - £5.00 £1.00 each

I have NEVER bought a nail polish from Topshop, as much as I adore the colour range I'm not keen on spending £5 per bottle so finding these little beauties for a pound each was a real treat! I picked up shade 'Cloud', a light charcoal grey which I didn't really need to pick up as I own far too many polishes of a similar shade, and 'Costume Ball' which is a gold glitter top coat that looks gorgeous upon a variety of colours and surprisingly isn't too troublesome to remove .

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil

The Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-Oil - £12.00

It's been impossible to ignore all the excitement over this newly launched product from The Body Shop and of course curiosity got the better of me. I have never considered skin serums or facial oils before and it's mostly down to my concern that they will be a disaster for my oily skin however I was reassured to hear that it was non-greasy and worked for all skin types. The Vitamin E range is one of my all time favourites, I especially like the Hydrating Toner and the Moisture Cream so I was certain I would enjoy using this Serum-in-Oil.

Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask

Sanctuary Spa 5 Minute Thermal Detox Mask - £6.99* (currently on offer at Boots)

I have wanted to try a charcoal based face mask for the longest time but have spent too much time speculating on which one to go for. I've seen endless reviews on how amazing the Origins Clear Improvement Active Charcoal Mask is, but at £22.00 I just haven't brought myself to make the purchase. I'd always been aware that this 5 Minute Thermal Detox mask from the Sanctuary Spa was a very close match but even still at £10, I couldn't help but wonder if it would live up to my high expectations.

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water - £4.99

Cleansing waters have fast become a cult product with beauty gurus and with Bioderma taking the top spot it seems high street brands are making their best attempts to compete. I personally haven't tried Bioderma for myself simply because it isn't easily accessible in the U.K, it's a little on the pricey side and I honestly don't think it's worth the efforts of shipping over from abroad. I recently became aware of the newly launched Micellar Cleansing Water from Garnier and with everything from the packaging to the performance of the product itself, I was convinced that this was a close to perfect dupe.

This Works: Sleep

Contains: This Works: Breathe In & This Works: Deep Calm Pillow Spray

This little duet has been a sweet addition to my bedside table and has certainly helped me to fall into a much deeper sleep. I'd say I'm a very light sleeper, drifting in and out of sleep and I hardly ever wake up feeling fully rested. Together these two products work to help you unwind and generally relax in preparation for a good night's sleep. Breathe In is a roll on fragrance of Frankincense and Eucalyptus that you apply on to the pulse points. The idea is to inhale the soothing natural aromas as you begin to slumber. The Deep Calm Pillow Spray has been the most effective for me. With two pumps of this comforting mist my senses are enlightened with Lavender and Camomile. Since using this sleep solution duo I have noticed, although small, an improvement in the quality of my sleep and on a couple of occasions I managed to sleep the whole night through to the morning with not a flicker of an eyelid.

Sweet dreams..
